Shipping
Shipping is determined upon weight and destination. I use the Australia
Post website to determine prices. My handling fee is for the cost
of packaging materials. The shipping cost isn't just the stamps
on the parcel, it includes bubble wrap, cardboard, toploaders, plastic
sleeves, team bags, and even small zip-lock pouches. Not all at
once, of course. It depends on the item(s).
Anything heavier than 500g and thicker than 20mm is considered
a parcel and must be sent at the parcel rate.
Insurance
Anything smaller than a large letter (A4) cannot be insured if
going overseas. Many countries simply don't allow it for whatever
reason. The best way to have some kind of protection on such items
is to opt for Registered Post. I prefer to use pre-paid envelopes.
They come in various sizes but are strictly dependant upon thickness
and weight.
If an item is too large and/or heavy to be sent by Registered then
the only other option is Express
Courier International. I only recommend this for expensive items
as the service is not cheap, but it provides full insurance and
online tracking.
International Insurance
The service provides proof of posting, secure handling and a signature
on delivery. The fee is $8.65 plus $2.25 per $100, or part thereof,
up to $5,000. It is also trackable online, to some extent, via the
Australia Post website, as is Registered Post International.
Items listed on the Master Sets page
will only be posted via Express
Courier International.
Australia
All Registered Post mailings for delivery within Australia include
insurance cover to $100. The Registered Post charge is $2.75 Additional
cover is $1.25 per $100 or part thereof.
Items listed on the Master Sets page
will only be posted via Registered Post, with additional insurance,
for Australian buyers.
