Cardz 'n Thingz is an Australian-based business specialising in non-sport trading cards.

The business was officially established in June 2007, though I have been active as an eBay seller for the past 6 years accumulating around 1200 feedback across 2 ID's. Due to issues with a stalker/competition-hater I cannot disclose those usernames at present.

Before eBay and other online auctions I was mostly a trader, trading between various countries for the cards I needed for my sets, very rarely buying anything. The odd times I actually bought something to kick-start a collection or try to complete a set I'd buy locally, which was very difficult as our only sources at the time were EB and a small comic store which really didn't cater specifically for the non-sport collector in mind.

With my overseas contacts, gained through trading, I found loads of dealers and their prices were considerably cheaper than Australian ones. When my primary haunt - Sold.com.au - closed down I headed over to eBay and set up shop, so to speak. Over the years I've learnt alot about the non-sport trading card industry, its buyers, its dealers and its increasing popularity among Australians. It has taken a long time but collectors here are beginning to catch on to the hype of collecting small pieces of cardboard with pictures on them ;-)

As I began as a buyer I could see that even though Australians were catching on there weren't enough places here for collectors to acquire what they needed or wanted. Many don't wish to buy overseas for various reasons and dealers within our own country, from my point of view and experience, dont' have the best interests of the collector in mind. In other words, far too expensive when they certainly don't need to be.

To assist in bringing the non-sport trading card world to Australia I decided on establishing myself as a dealer. What I wanted as a buyer I hope to provide now from the other end of the industry. Affordable, quality trading cards for all collectors.
